What's New in the APIs

OAuth2 Client Credentials

Added support for authenticating to our APIs with OAuth2 client credentials.

Please note: This feature is not yet generally available, please speak to your Customer Success Manager or email customersuccess@flowcase.com if you are interested.

Proposal outcome statuses

Expanded proposal status tracking with two new outcome statuses: Won (won) and Lost (lost). These statuses allow teams to track the final outcome of submitted proposals and maintain historical records of proposal success rates.

  • Won (won): Indicates the proposal was successful and the business was secured
  • Lost (lost): Indicates the proposal was unsuccessful

These statuses complement the existing workflow statuses and enable better reporting and analytics on proposal outcomes. They can be set via the API when updating a proposal.

Proposal statuses

The API now supports managing proposal statuses, as well as retrieving statuses for tailored resumes (CVs) and reference projects. This allows you to track progress, improve collaboration, and integrate with external workflow tools.

  • Proposals: Status can be both read and updated via API
    • Available statuses: Selecting resources (initial), Tailoring (editing), Ready to submit (finalised), Submitted (submitted), Unknown (null)
  • Resumes/Projects: Status can only be read (not modified) via API
    • Available statuses: Selected (initial), Tailoring (editing), Ready (finalised)

Custom Tag filters

We've added new filtering capabilities to the Custom Tags API. You can now filter tags based on their values using:

  • query: Case-insensitive prefix match for tag values. Example: query=full would match Full time employee.
  • language_code: Specifies which language variant to match query against (e.g. "int", "no").

These filters simplify integration workflows by allowing applications to quickly search for specific tags and retrieve their IDs within custom tag categories. For example, query=full&language_code=int would find tags starting with "Full" in the international/English language variant.

Support for cvpartner.com domain

  • Your existing integrations sending requests to <subdomain>.cvpartner.com will continue to function seamlessly. However, we plan to sunset support for that domain at an undetermined point in the future.
  • Recommendation: Update your HTTP clients and integrations to send requests to the <subdomain>.flowcase.com domain instead of <subdomain>.cvpartner.com.

SCIM API Updates

  • SCIM User Attributes (docs) renamed: cvpartner → flowcase
    • From → urn:ietf:params:scim:schemas:extension:cvpartner:2.0:User:customTag1
    • To → urn:ietf:params:scim:schemas:extension:flowcase:2.0:User:customTag1
  • Backward compatibility: Old cvpartner attributes still supported as aliases
  • Recommendation: Update your configuration to use new flowcase attributes

Reports API

  • Increased limits for the CV Reports API from 5k to 10k results per report.
